Kat Stephans - Producer/Partner
In addition to being a Co-Producer on Elston’s slate of films currently in development, including Elston’s first feature film, Bury The Lead (Summer 2017). Kat has pre-produced local and national TV segments, and is a seasoned Marketing & Sales Strategist/Director. Kat also produced the film Happy Snow Day Franny, currently in post production and serves as Trustee on the board of the Rossin foundation that focuses on health and education, as well as serves on the Service Board of Lurie Children’s Hospital, one of the hospital’s most active and successful philanthropic affiliated organizations. Kat was a journalism major at Indiana University Bloomington and attended the Executive Education Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business.
DeAnna "De" Cooper - President/Producer/Partner
De is an award winning Producer with over twenty years of experience in the film industry, including being a senior executive at Twentieth Century Fox Studios and New Line Cinemas. After leaving Hollywood she Produced 6 independent films and an Emmy award winning commercial. As a studio executive, De generated title-specific estimates on films such as Titanic, X-Men, Thin Red Line and Ice Age, handling financial modeling, contract negotiations, marketing and estimate analysis for both in-house productions and acquisitions. De’s produced projects include: I Heart Shakey in 3D (2012), The Painter (2013), Precious Mettle (2014), Happy Snow Day Franny (2016), The Go Cart (2016), Death: Take 2 (2017). These films have played all around the world via Academy Award qualifying film festivals, theaters, VOD, retail and rental markets. Elston’s first feature film will be the Black List Script, Bury The Lead (Summer 2017).
Kevin Cooper - Director/Partner
Kevin’s background is as a filmmaker in both studio and indie environments. After graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, he moved to Los Angeles and worked for the top talent agency Creative Artists Agency, which lead to a creative executive position working for blockbuster director Michael Bay. From there, Kevin was hired as an executive by Twentieth Century Fox (Fox 2000) and later by James Cameron’s Digital Domain. At Digital Domain, Kevin ran the company’s development efforts where he helped sell the screenplay for Secondhand Lions to New Line Cinemas and served as an Executive Produce. For Phase 4 Films, Kevin directed the feature film I Heart Shakey starring Steve Lemme, Beverly D'Angelo, and Alfonso Arau, as well as the critically-acclaimed short The Painter. Kevin will next direct the feature The Pride of San Quentin by Steve Guttenberg. He is a NYU's Tisch graduate MFA in film from UCLA.
Billy Dec - Actor/Producer/Partner
Billy is a two-time Emmy Award winning producer, actor, TV personality, attorney, restauranteur and Founder of Elston Films, as well as Rockit Ranch Productions, an award winning Entertainment & Hospitality Development Company. Billy has acted in several films and TV shows, as well as hosted and contributed live on air in hundreds of Entertainment & Hospitality segments on shows like the Today Show and Good Morning America. Billy is one of the producers of the feature film The Warehouse based on Chicago’s legendary House Music and Frankie Knuckles. Billy's educational background includes the Harvard Business School and Chicago-Kent College of law, and was appointed by President Obama to the White House Initiative on Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders.
